KYLE - CLASSICAL TROMBONIST

Still in his early 20’s, Kyle is an outstanding trombonist; classically trained and playing for over a dozen years. He’s been selected on numerous occasions as a member of the Standard Bank National Youth Jazz Band (SBNYJB) - the youngest member ever selected at age 15 - working under Dr. Carlo Mombelli in 2005, Zim Ngqawana in 2006 and Dr. Andrew Lilley in 2007. Kyle was also selected to play in the Standard Bank National Schools Big Band under the direction of sax legend Shannon Mowday; and has also performed at the Joy of Jazz Festival in Johannesburg as well as the Cape Town International Jazz Festival with the SBNYJB - Also touring Sweden with the SBNYJB under Dr. Carlo Mombelli, participating in Sweden’s Linkoping Jazz and Blues festival.

Kyle is also currently part of the Mandela Bay Symphonic Wind Orchestra under the direction of Gareth Williams in Port Elizabeth and has also played ample shows as part of the Smooth Operators, Tequila and with the Two-Tone show band under the direction of Ulagh Williams - working with Esther Miller.
